Global Compact is a United Nations
initiative aimed at encouraging the business community to support
the areas of human rights, labour, environment and
anti-corruption.
By endorsing the Global Compact, Jerónimo Martins voluntarily
supports the ten principles associated with the four areas referred
to above, integrating them into its culture and strategy.
Conselho Empresarial para o Desenvolvimento Sustentável
BCSD Portugal - Conselho Empresarial para o
Desenvolvimento Sustentável is a not-for-profit association,
the mission of which is make business leadership a catalyst for
change in the direction of Sustainable Development, promoting
eco-efficiency, innovation and social responsibility in companies.
This organization integrates the World
Business Council for Sustainable Development.
GRACE RSE - Corporate Citizenship Reflection and Support
Group
RSE Portugal is a not-for-profit association
comprising a group of companies representing the diversity of the
national business fabric. The Jerónimo Martins Group is a founding

Consumer Goods Forum
The Consumer Goods Forum was created
in 2009, by the merger of three entities: CIES (Comité
International d'Enterprises à Succursales), Global CEO Forum and
GCI (Global Commerce Initiative).
It is a global platform for knowledge exchange and initiatives
around five strategic priorities - Emerging Trends, Sustainability,
Safety & Health, Operational Excellence and Knowledge Sharing
& People Development - which are central to the advancement of
today's consumer goods industry.

The Global Food Safety
Initiative is a not-for-profit association run by the Consumer
Goods Forum and its mission is to provide continuous improvement in
food safety management systems to ensure confidence in the delivery
of safe food to consumers worldwide.
Global Social Compliance Programme
The Global Social Compliance
Programme is a business-driven programme working on the upward
harmonisation of existing efforts in supply chain social and
environmental compliance, to deliver a shared, global and
sustainable approach across sectors and geographies. The aim is to
reduce confusion on requirements and duplication in auditing,
allowing buying companies and suppliers to focus on remediation of
root causes and capacity building.
